Finding Stillness in the Chaos of COVID-19

Let me guess..

Out of work? Furloughed? Death of a loved one? Kids home from school (for the rest of the year)? Scrambling to find toilet paper, essential canned foods, navigating exercise without being able to “hit the gym”? Anxieties high. Depression so low. How will you survive?

What if I told you that you have everything you need? No——Seriously. You are fed, you are clothed, you are housed and you are financially secure.

You are a primal being. ‘Be-ing’, the essence and nature of what it means ‘to be’ (human in this case). You are literally being called back to your personal energy and for the first time, you are being asked to step off of the treadmill of what you used to know as the fast paced, overwhelm of day to day life.

Before you, sits the opportunity to reclaim and revive your inherent sense of self— restore and renew the energy and spirit of what it means to be. You have the power within you to change your perspective and in turn, your reality. It is your birth right and responsibility to find ‘peace in the panic and faith in your fears’ during this transformational time.

So, next time you notice you are working yourself into a frenzy—-recognize, too you have the power to work yourself out of “it”. The choice is yours.

  • Turn off the News - Turn on a Classical Movie

  • Turn down the Outside Noise - Turn up your Inner Voice

  • Turn your Nose Out Of other people’s business and Nose into a really great book

  • Tune out of Negativity - Tune into Mindfulness

  • Turn Grief and loss into Gratitude and Hate into Love

  • Call back your power, cultivate the memory of knowing that you have everything you need inside of you.
